Artwork Inspiration
This piece explores the theme of replenishment—the act of restoring abundance, energy, and vitality. Over five years developing this collection, the concept has evolved into a meditation on how life continuously refills and restores us, even after seasons of depletion or stillness.
Water serves as a central metaphor throughout the series, inspired by literature, poetry, and Scripture. The layered colors and textures draw from the ocean—beautiful, powerful, cleansing, healing, and sometimes transformative. At the shoreline, where my phone is tucked away and the world quiets, I experience profound peace. “And the Spirit of God hovered over the water…”
Branches and leaves, recurring elements in this collection, symbolize rootedness in quiet, nourishing spaces. They embody resilience, life, and the ability to endure both gentle rains and harsh storms, reflecting the essence of replenishment.
