Revitalize is an original 20” x 10” x 1.5” acrylic gouache and soft pastel painting created in March 2025. Crafted with premium acrylic gouache, permanent pigments, and soft pastels, it is sealed with a matte varnish for a smooth, refined finish and lasting protection.
Artwork Inspiration
The theme of revitalization flows throughout this collection—a return to strength, renewal, and quiet endurance. After five years shaping this body of work, the concept has deepened into a reflection on what sustains us through seasons of change.
Inspired by the ocean’s layered hues and unpredictable movement, this piece draws on water as a powerful metaphor seen throughout literature, poetry, and Scripture—cleansing, restoring, life-giving, and at times forceful. At the ocean, where the world falls silent and distractions fade, I experience a profound peace. “And the Spirit of God hovered over the water…”
Branches and leaves appear again as symbols of being deeply rooted—held in a nourishing, life-filled space, strengthened through both gentle waters and harsh storms. Their resilience embodies the very idea of revitalization.
