Artwork Inspiration
This piece explores the theme of rejuvenation—the restoration of vitality, freshness, and renewed spirit. Over the five years developing this collection, the concept has grown into a reflection on the ways life replenishes and restores us, even after seasons of fatigue or stillness.
Water serves as a central metaphor throughout the series, inspired by literature, poetry, and Scripture. The layered colors and textures are influenced by the ocean—beautiful, powerful, cleansing, healing, and at times transformative. At the shoreline, where my phone is tucked away and the world quiets, I experience deep, restorative peace. “And the Spirit of God hovered over the water…”
Branches and leaves, recurring elements in this collection, represent rootedness in quiet, nourishing spaces. They symbolize resilience, life, and the capacity to endure both gentle rains and harsh storms—reflecting the essence of rejuvenation.
