Artwork Inspiration
This piece explores the theme of regeneration—the act of being renewed, restored, and made new. Over the five years spent developing this collection, the concept has grown into a reflection on the quiet, resilient processes that restore life and spirit even through seasons of change.
Water is a central metaphor throughout the series, drawn from literature, poetry, and Scripture. The layered colors and textures are inspired by the ocean—beautiful, powerful, cleansing, healing, and at times transformative. At the shoreline, where my phone is tucked away and the world quiets, I experience a profound sense of peace. “And the Spirit of God hovered over the water…”
Branches and leaves, recurring elements in this collection, symbolize being rooted in quiet, nourishing spaces. They embody resilience, vitality, and the ability to endure both gentle rains and harsh storms, reflecting the essence of regeneration.
